St Lawrence Jewry currently has four members of staff plus 3 key volunteers.

The Guild Vicar is Canon David Parrott. He worked for 25 years in Chelmsford Diocese before moving to St Lawrence Jewry in 2009.  He is married to Sue and they have two adult sons. He has a wide ministerial background, and has particular interests in ministerial formation, preaching and church law. He is the author of 'Your Church and the Law' (Canterbury Press, 2008).  He also authored three books for the church: The Rules for the Conduct of Life, The Windows of St Lawrence Jewry and St Lawrence Jewry next Guildhall (Pitkin Guide). As well as being the Vicar of St Lawrence Jewry, David is also the Chaplin to The City of London Corporation and to 9 Livery Companies. David has also become a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Distillers and the Worshipful Company of Tobaco Pipe Makers and Tobacco Blenders.

James McVinnie is the new Organist and Music Director of the church, replacing Catherine Ennis, who sadly passed away in December 2020.  He is known as Jamie to his friends.  He was Catherine's most trusted deputy and had played for us in many of our services/recitals when she was not available.  He was the Assistant Organist of Westminster Abbey between 2008 and 2011. Prior to this appointment, he held similar positions at St Paul’s Cathedral, St Albans Cathedral, and Clare College, Cambridge where he studied music. His teachers were Sarah Baldock, Thomas Trotter and Hans Fagius. He made his debut at London’s Royal Festival Hall in March 2014, giving one of the six reopening recitals on the refurbished iconic 1954 Harrison & Harrison organ. He made his solo debut in the Salzburg Festival at age 26 performing with the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra under Ivor Bolton.
